Auto 2 - Automotive Locksmithing
This course presents new skills for those who have completed Auto 1.
Auto 1 focused on making keys for cars where all of the locks were original locks and in good working condition. Quite often locksmiths receive calls where the ignition lock is not working or it is not an original lock. Auto 2 teaches skills that will help in these situations.
After completing this course you will have more of the basic skills needed to do automotive locksmithing. Most of the examples in this course focus on Ford, Mercury, & Lincoln vehicles. However, many of the skills apply to all makes and models. This course does not cover high security autos. Those skills will be covered in a later course.
Each skill should be practiced until the locksmith is confident in his ability to complete the task.
