The subject of this video lesson is how to install a deadbolt. Although most entry doors now come with the hole for the deadbolt already drilled, there is still the occasional request to install a deadbolt.
After learning how to drill a lock cylinder, this course covers ways to bypass a lock cylinder all together. Many of these methods are much faster than drilling and many cause no damage to the lock or building.

The subject of this lesson is how to master key locks. Master keying locks is an essential skill for locksmiths. This course will start with presenting a simple master key system and follow with a more complex system.

Re-keying locks is one of the most common tasks performed by locksmiths and a good understanding of the process is essential. Part of re-keying most locks requires the plug be removed and the pins changed to fit the new key.
Most of the time, when a customer calls a locksmith, it is because they cannot get into their home or business. The keys may be inside the building or they may be lost. Either way, it may be necessary to pick open the lock to get into the building.
